Instructional Materials Development (IMD) is designed to support faculty in creating small scale learning materials that will help improve students learning and understanding.

Below is an outline of the types of materials we can create for you.

Presentations

Not long ago film strips and carousel slide shows were the medium of choice for presentation.Technology, however, has changed the way presentations are delivered. We can help create powerful presentations from powerful interactive slide shows to lecture captures and tutorials. We will help find the “best” medium to present the content in an interesting and engaging manner while keeping the spirit of BYU-Idaho a part of everything we do. Bring your ideas and let’s get started creating fun and supportive learning presentations.

Video and Audio

Technology has changed the atmosphere of learning with video. It has taken us from reel to reel and VHS tapes that took a great amount of time and effort to put into a form that could be used for effective learning to digital video that is now created all around us. Digital video can now be used and delivered in many different ways to enhance learning and present ideas. The IMD is here to help you take your ideas and put them into a video format that can then be presented to your students.

Graphic Design

The digital age has changed the way we develop learning materials. Leaving the compass, t-square and triangle behind we now use computer software and other advanced tools to quickly convey your learning objective in a new and colorful way.

With some of the advance tools available we can develop many different learning materials including posters, handouts, brochures, PDF files, documentation, digital photography, digital photo manipulation, CD and DVD labels & cover design, web banners, illustrations and more.
