Add-ons

If you would like to make changes to your plan or have questions about your Sprint contract, come to the Sprint Kiosk at the University Store for service. 

  • Unlimited Data (Non-Smartphone): $3.85 per month for non-smart phones and $5.78 per month for smart phones (not iPhones), nationwide; (must have a phone that supports this feature)
  • Airave: $124.99 one-time device fee. Devices will be charged $0.03/mintue for out-of-network calls, to be charged to the users personal phone number. Unlimited minutes while using the Airave device (unlimited call to all carriers and landlines) is an option for an additional $25/month.
  • 3G Mobile Hotspot (tethering): unlimited data for 3G phones $19.25 (this will replace the $5.78 required data charge
  • 4G Mobile Hotspot (tethering): $15(2GB) or $30(5GB) plus data $5.78/month (required for these types of phones). Once you have reached the limit, you will be charged $0.03/MB.
  • Apple iPhone Hotspot (tethering): $15(2GB) or $30(5GB)
  • Unlimited calls made and received, a single number for $4.62 per month, one prefix for $7.70 per month, three prefixes for $11.55 per month; (must be within the Sprint Network for unlimited use)
  • Total Equipment Protection: $8/month (phone replacement program with service center privileges included)
  • Equipment Replacement Program: $5/month (phone replacement program with NO service privileges included)

iPhone Agreement

The iPhone requires a two-year agreement. Once the agreement has ended, you can keep the phone. However, if you end your contract early, then you are subject to the Early Termination Fee Schedule (above). Once you have terminated your contract, you are required to return the phone. If you do not return the phone, you are subject to a fee of $200.00.

 

iPhone AppleCare

You have 30 days (starting at the point of sale of iPhone) to get your AppleCare for your iPhone. It is a fee of $99. For more information please click here. To get your AppleCare, please call 1-800-692-7753.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING ORDER EXPERTS FOR PHONES

Employees are able to do almost anything they need to do to manage their phones through the website byui.orderexperts.com  (type this in your address without the www or http)  Once you are in the site, it will bring up the employee’s log in screen.  Employee will log in with net ID and password and then it will bring up their account.

 

There are three options: Order New Service, Upgrade Your Device or  Get Support:

 

  • Order New Services: Gives you the option to order a new line-of-service (a new cell phone number) OR Port an existing number from a different carrier (landlines can be ported as well, but take almost up to a month to port). If you are porting from a different carrier, make sure you select the check box 'Transfer number from existing account' and fill out the information required. For the Shipping Address, you will put in the name and the home address of the person who is receiving the phone.  Do not use a P.O. Box. When completed, look over your information and then click on click here to submit your request. You will then be given a ticket number, which you will need to write down and keep track. That way if there is a problem, we have a place to start in tracking it down.
  • Upgrade Your Device: Gives you the option to upgrade your device (which is a one year contract) to a new device- from free up to $200 (the filling out of information is the same as above). To see if you or a family member is eligible for an upgrade, use this link and select a number. If not eligible, the site will give the date of eligibility.
  • Get Support: Gives you multiple options to choose from:
    • Replace a Device: It will ask you if you have had the phone more than 14 days- if no, then it is an Under 14-Day Exchange. If yes, then it is a Warranty Replacement-
      • Under 14-Day Exchange: If for some reason you just don't like the phone you got, you can exchange to a different phone (this must be done within 14 days of purchase, and can be done only once. For more details, contact the Sprint Kiosk). After the order has been completed, a UPS envelope will be sent to you. In that envelope will be two stickers- one to put on the envelope and the other to keep for your records (please follow the instructions on the sticker you are to keep). In the envelope you need to make sure that the phone and the box (with its contents) are all accounted for before you send it back (follow the instructions on the paper). 
      • Warranty Replacement: This is used if you have had the phone more than 14 days. If your device is having software issues (not physical damages- i.e. water immersed, dropped, cracked screen), use this option. Make sure you go into detail of what is wrong with the phone- the more detail the better. Once you have completed the order it will take up to 5 days to receive it. In the box, there should be the replacement phone and a white Return Kit envelope (white envelope is used to return your old phone).
    • Order Accessories: This gives you the option to order accessories for your phone and an Airave.
    • Mobile-to-Office (496 prefix)Free - for BYU-I employee phones only!
    • Integrated Office: This gives you the option to have certain numbers blocked (inbound and outbound). This is a great feature for parents who want to restrict certain numbers for their children. An example would be blocking all inbound / outbound calls except the parents, office, home and maybe some other numbers.
    • Change a Feature with Rate Plan: This gives you the option to add/remove data from your phone (cannot remove/block data from smart phones). Also, you can add/remove tethering to your device (contact Sprint Kiosk for further explanations and pricing).
    • Change My Number: If you would like to change your current cell number, use this option and then we will contact you to program your phone with the new number.
    • Ask a Billing Question: This is to ask questions regarding your billing statement (i.e. data, minutes, 3rd party charges). Please make sure you go into great detail of your question- the more detail the sooner we are able to answer your question.
