Summer Jazz Fest Featuring

Conrad Herwig, one of the greatest jazz trombonists of our day, will perform at the BYU-Idaho Summer Jazz Fest along with Sound Alliance and Jazz Combo 1. Voted No.1 Jazz Trombonist in the 2002 Downbeat Jazz Critic's Poll, conrad has three Grammy nominations and is a featured soloist on the Joe Lovano Nonet Grammy Award winning 52nd Street Themes CD. He has 19 albums as a leader and has recorded recorded on more than 200 albums in his 30-plus-year career with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, Quincy Jones, Buddy Rich, Joe Henderson, Horace Silver, and many others. More information about the Summer Jazz Fest, clinics, workshops, and performances will be made available as the event draws nearer.
Tickets go on sale June 27. Cost is $6 for general public, $3 for BYU-Idaho students. No children under 6. Classroom dress.
