Drive or Walk
DRIVE or WALK?

For a few BYU-Idaho students, deciding whether to walk or drive is easy. No car? Walk. Live miles away? Drive. But a majority of BYU-Idaho students — those who live within walking distance and own a car — have a decision to make.

If you're one of the thousands of students that live less than a mile from campus, you've made an excellent choice. Not only will you burn more calories than your driving counterparts, you will also get to class long before everyone who's searching for a place to park. And who knows — you might even meet that special someone during your casual stroll to class.

As BYU-Idaho grows, more and more students and employees are commuting from out of town, and some BYU-Idaho housing is well over a mile from campus. If you live too far away to make walking to campus feasible, we're here to help.

We've created an interactive map just for you. Review new campus and city parking regulations and what those changes mean for you. Explore your parking options. Find out how much a parking permit costs. Remember: Parking a little farther away and walking is faster than driving around and around looking for spot close to your building!
