It is important not only to understand what is happening with city and university parking. It is also important to make sure you understand the parking policies for the apartment complexes in which you live and visit.

The towing companies are protecting the rights of the students who have purchased a permit for a specific lot, not to mention helping stranded or wrecked cars, they are not the 'bad guys'. We need to work together in order to prevent the hassle and the cost of being towed.

By following the parking rules within individual complexes, students are practicing their personal honor which is a vital component to being a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho.

1. Students are responsible to know the parking regulations for approved housing.

2. Students are responsible to inform their guests of visitor parking stalls or temporary permits.

3. Students demonstrate personal honor and show respect to others by not parking in 'permit only' lots reserved for tenants.
