PARKING PERMITS

Both BYU-Idaho and the City of Rexburg offer parking permits on and around campus. If you need to drive, find out which permit is best for you and how you can get it.

Permit Colors and Prices

Some permit/lot colors have changed. Make sure you look at the signs in the parking lots to know if your permit will allow you to park there. Try our interactive map to get a better sense of where your permit will let you park.

 

A Permit

Faculty/Staff Parking

  • Full-time employees may recieve one transferable (hanging) "A" permit
  • Employees may also recieve either an "N" or "S" or "F" tag for a second vehicle
  • Additional "N" or "S" parking decals may be purchased at regular cost

 

N Permit - $30/semester or $70/year

North Zone Student Parking

  • Required for parking on campus streets in the North Zone
  • Required in student parking lots in the North Zone

 

S Permit - $20/semester or $50/year

South Zone Student Parking

  • Required for parking on campus streets in the South Zone
  • Required in student parking lots in the South Zone

 

C Permit - $20 per semester

Church Lot (North of Kirkham Bldg.)

  • Valid Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Cannot be used in conjunction with any other campus permit

 

H Permit - $30/semester

Student Housing Permit

  • Requires a form from housing for registration
  • Valid in Pioneer and Biddulph lots only
  • Required to park overnight

 

F Permit - FREE

Free Lot (South of 7th South - by softball fields)

  • Other paid permits are also valid in this lot
  • Overnight parking not allowed

 

L Permit - $10 per semester

Long-term and Overnight Permit

  • Students living in residence halls may opt to use this lot instead of the "H" lot
  • Required to park overnight

 

City U Permit - $35 per semester, $75 per year

City Street Parking

  • Required by the City of Rexburg to park on city streets surrounding campus
  • Enforced by the City of Rexburg (pay fines at City Hall)
  • Limited number available

Permit Shapes

Permits may now be purchased by the semster or year round. The shape of the permit determines when it is valid.

Permit Zones

The general B student permit has been replaced with N and S permits. These permits are valid in either the North Zone or South Zone respectively.
