Repayment Terms
Repayment begins six months after you leave school. Students are obligated to repay the loan even if they do not complete their program of study, or if they are unable to obtain employment upon completion, or if they are dissatisfied with or do not receive the educational or other services they purchase from BYU-Idaho. (Note: A loan deferred during a mission no longer has a grace period.)
You are entitled to at least five years to repay your loan, as long as you meet the minimum monthly payment, which is $50. You may be allowed a maximum of 10 years.
You should receive your repayment schedule during the grace period. If you do not, it is your responsibility to contact your lender. The payments must begin after the 6-month grace period has elapsed.
