Academic Scholarships

All current, former and transfer students who have earned BYU-Idaho resident credits, are registered for classes and have a minimum of 30 but less than 130 cumulative credits at the time of evaluation will automatically be considered for an academic scholarship.  (Cumulative credits include total college career including AP/ IB and language tests accepted by BYU-Idaho)

Academic scholarships are evaluated and awarded on an academic year cycle. The scholarship may be awarded for one to three semesters, are given to coincide with the academic year and are evaluated on a yearly basis. The award is typically based upon cumulative GPA and credits earned after Winter semester.  Evaluations after Winter semester are typically for the next academic year.

Those students who do not receive an academic scholarship will automatically be re-evaluated after each semester and if a student becomes eligible after any given semester, he/she will be awarded one to three semester awards to coincide with the academic year.  The student will be re-evaluated again after the following Winter semester.
