Welcome to the Foreign Languages & Literatures Department

The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures offers students the opportunity to develop language and cultural skills in Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Russian, and Spanish. A Bachelor of Education may be earned in Spanish. Minors are offered in all five languages. A study of any of these languages will strengthen the general education and intercultural understanding of our students.

Students majoring in other disciplines often increase their future career opportunities by gaining a working knowledge of a foreign language and broadening their cultural horizons.
