- Four to six weeks after we have received your application, you will receive an e-mail from the Heber J. Grant Office notifying you of your acceptance status.*
- Once you are accepted for admission to BYU-Idaho, you will be eligible for all services offered through the Heber J. Grant Program.
* NOTE: The application to the Heber J. Grant Program is not associated with the application for admission to BYU-Idaho. If you are not a current BYU-Idaho student, you must be accepted for admission through a separate application process in order to enroll in classes at BYU-Idaho. For information on admission to BYU-Idaho, please visit www.byui.edu/admissions.
Application Instructions
- The online Program Application should take approximately one hour to complete. Because the application cannot be saved, be sure you have adequate time before beginning. It is also important to have the information required on the application. It may be helpful for you to review the instructional copy of the application before applying.

- Please be as accurate and thorough as you can on each item of the application. As essays will be reviewed for content, not grammar, be sure to include all the information that might be relevant on each essay, within the allotted space. The committee will have difficulty understanding your circumstances if you do not include enough information.
- All applications will remain confidential, being seen by only a select few members on the committee. If you have any questions or concerns about the application, please email heberjgrant@byui.edu. We will attempt to respond within one business day.
