Family and Child Advocacy Society
The BYU-Idaho Family and Child Advocacy Society is:
- An on-campus society run by students
- A society to promote and enhance student learning and professional growth
- A way to get involved in the community
- For students interested in supporting the family and child development
- A place for friendship and mentoring
- Where a student can learn more about classes in the Home and Family Department
- A program that offers internship information through forums and meetings
- A way to meet the faculty in the department
Some of the recent activities of the Society are:
- Internship Evening
- Faculty get-to-know-you activity
- Major’s fair
- Career Night
- Peer advising
- Guest speakers
- Literacy activity
A few of the planned future activities are:
- Enhancing the preschool playground by planting trees for shade
- Willow house for the preschool playground
- Butterfly garden for the preschool playground
- Tree house on the small preschool playground
- Internship Evening
- Majors Information Forum
- Attending professional conferences
