This secluded water garden area is a favorite place of romantics. It boasts several waterfalls, a stream and a pond with a variety of water and bog plants. The long-pole bridge, stepping stones, winding trails and meditation deck are surrounded by ferns, hostas, and other woodland plants. Connected to the water garden is a shade garden. This heavily wooded area includes bleeding heart, bishops weed, purple winter-creeper and other shade-loving plants. The surrounding garden area can be viewed from the observation deck above the shade garden.
