Telephone Features
REPDL
 Allows you to call someone by just pushing one key.

  • 1. Get dial tone.
  • 2. Dial *566
  • 3. Press rep-dial key of choice.
  • 4. Dial the number you want programmed and hang up. (if off campus, you must push 8 first)
  • To use rep-dial, push the button of choice (You can get dial tone first and then push the button, or just push the button).
  • (face plate is removable so you can type in names)


    • Caller ID Block

    To block caller ID press *#67 and then dial the number

    HOLD

    HOLD allows you to temporarily hang up a line without disconnecting your caller. To make a second call, see CONSULTATION CALL.
  • press HOLD
  • Hang up
    • To reconnect:
  • Press the line button of call on hold
  • Pick up receiver


    • TRANSFER

    TRANSFER (XFER) allows you to transfer a call to another extension.
  • Press XFER
  • Dial extension
  • Announce caller
  • Hang up


    • CONNECT

    CONNECT (CNCT) allows you to connect to a camped-on call (call-waiting) or parked call.
  • To accept a camped-on call or a parked call, press CNCT
  • To reconnect with a transferred call or alternate between parties, press CNCT


    • CALL FORWARDING

    CALL FORWARDING (FORWD) allows you to have your calls ring at another extension.
  • Get dial tone
  • Press FORWD or # 9
  • Dial extension
  • Hang up
    • To cancel:
  • Get dial tone
  • Press FORWD or ## 9
  • Hang up


    • CAMP-ON

    AUTOMATIC CAMP-ON allows you to stay on the line and wait for a busy extension.
  • Listen for busy signal
  • Stay on the line
    • To cancel, hang up. CALLBACK CAMP-ON calls you back with a long ring when the busy extension becomes free.
  • Listen for busy signal
  • Press CAMP
  • Hang up
    • To cancel:
  • Get dial tone
  • Press CAMP
  • Hang up


    • CONFERENCE CALL

    CONFERENCE CALL (CONF) allows up to eight parties in a conversation. After calling the first person, use the steps below to add each new party.
  • Press FLASH
  • Dial next extension or dial 8 + outside number
  • Press CONF or FLASH * 4 to connect to each party
  • To reconnect with conference if call is refused, busy, or not answered, press CNCT


    • CONSULTATION CALL

    CONSULTATION CALL allows you to make a second call on your line by putting the first caller on temporary hold. During a call:
  • Press FLASH
  • Dial extension or dial 8+off-campus number
  • To reconnect with first party, press CNCT


    • FLASH

    FLASH places a call on temporary hold to allow the user to make a CONSULTATION CALL or to use in conjunction with the corresponding feature code to perform a function.

    PARK

     PARK allows you to transfer a call to an extension and hold it there.
  • Press PARK or FLASH * 6
  • Dial new extension number
  • Hang up


    • SPEAKER
    The speaker is one-way (listen only) for all 612 phones and two-way for all 624 and 624K phones. To use the speaker press your line button to make a call. To transfer a call from the handset to the speaker:
  • Press SPKR
  • Hang up


    • TONE/VOLUME ADJUSTING

    SET RING TONE allows you to set your ring tone from the lowest (1) to the highest (8).
  • Get dial tone
  • Press * 572 + Digit (1-8)
  • Hang up
    • TO ADJUST RING VOLUME: Slide adjuster located on the bottom of the phone. TO ADJUST VOICE VOLUME: Use the volume up and down keys. Press the key and hold it down to reach the volume desired.

    STATION SPEED CALL

    STATION SPEED CALL (STASP) allows you to set up single-digit codes for your frequently called numbers.
  • Get dial tone
  • Press STASP twice or ## 3
  • Key in station speed code (1-9)
  • Dial 8 + outside number or extension
  • Hang up
    • To make a station speed call:
  • Get dial tone
  • Press STASP or # 3
  • Dial station speed code


    • MESSAGE WAITING

    MESSAGE WAITING (MSGWT) can be programmed to call an extension. To program it for PhoneMail:
  • Get dial tone
  • Press ## 3-0
  • Enter your PhoneMail access number (79-4999)
  • Hang up
    • To call PhoneMail:
  • Get dial tone
  • Press MSGWT
  • Enter your extension (or press # if calling from your extension)
  • Enter password and press #
