B.S. Degree Program

 

The BS Web Design and Development (WDD) program provides a solid background in both the breadth and depth of web site design and development.  The proposed curriculum would be an integrated degree which consists of a core set of classes (31 credits), a set of classes in one of 3 emphasis areas (24 credits), and a minor or 2 clusters of their choosing.

 

Through the core classes, a student will gain a broad understanding web site design and development.  In this core, they will gain a fundamental understanding of web site design, development, as well as the business and communication aspects of web technology. 

 

Through the emphasis areas, students will gain an in-depth understanding of one particular area of web technology.  Students can choose to emphasize in one of 3 areas: Web Communications/Business, Web Site Design, or Web Site Development.

Total Credits in B.S. Major: 120

Foundations Courses: 40 credits

Major Courses: 55 credits [Core plus Emphasis]

Minor Courses: 24-35 credits [can be 2 clusters]
