Life Skills Workshops - Facilitator Application

PLEASE READ:

Life Skills is a new area of the Activities Program that offers student-led workshops on a broad-range of topics that help students develop the competencies and skills necessary to succeed in life. Students learn much through their academic classes and involvement in university life; however, there are other aspects of one’s life that require basic knowledge and skill that may not be part of one’s formal education or experience at college. Life Skills workshops offer students a formal, yet no-fee and non-credit way of expanding their knowledge and capacities that will help them manage life successfully.

A facilitator may assist with the content development of a workshop topic and facilitate the actual workshop. Facilitators will receive training on workshop facilitation skills, be expected to attend weekly meetings with their coordinator, and put in the necessary time to develop and facilitate the workshop. The time commitment for a facilitator is approximately 3-4 hours during the weeks when preparing for and delivering a workshop.

The various categories for developing a workshop topic are listed in a question below. Be sure to indicate which area interests you the most. If interest in becoming a workshop facilitator, please feel out and submit the application information below:
