The Joseph Fielding Smith Building was remodeled in 2003. The renovation included an update of the building’s electrical, heating and cooling, plumbing, and data systems. Interior finishes were redone and existing space in the building was reconfigured. The Smith Building provides office and classroom space for the College of Business & Communication, the College of Language and Letters, and the Departments of Accounting, Business Management, Computer Information Technology, Economics, Foreign Language, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Administrative offices for Foundations, the university’s innovative approach to general education courses, are also found here.
