Long-term Benefits

While a transition of this magnitude will certainly require patience and understanding from all involved, we look forward to the enhanced user experience and long-term benefits of moving to this new student information system.

Academic Technology Services has prepared online tutorials to assist you with the new my.byui interface & features.

The my.byui.edu information portal is getting an upgrade during the week of Dec. 7th, complete with new features and added functionality.

The changes will make the system more compatible with current technologies and allow for upgrades in the future.

New features include:

  • Enhanced registration process
  • Improved Transcript access
  • Degree Audit [formerly Grad Report]
  • GPA projections
  • Transfer course equivalencies
  • Academic majors exploration tool
  • And more!

During the week of Dec. 7th, while the system is being upgraded, minimal disruptions will occur. Some functions related to student registration will be unavilable during these times but will be restored as soon as possible during the week. For a specific list visit the Q&A section of our site.

The new system is intuitive and easy to use but there are sure to be questions from both faculty and students.

If you find that you have questions after reviewing the Q&A pages and attending the training sessions, a series of online tutorials is available. Academic Technology Services has prepared tutorials in two formats:

  1. Text only
  2. Text with screen shots
