Description
Part of the junior integrated core for business majors. Organizational Behavior at three levels: individual, group, and organizations. Examination of areas: motivation, team, group behavior, organizational design, structure, culture, communication, leadership, decision making, and managing change.
A course in supervision and problem solving in a business operation. Emphasis is given to human relations, performance appraisal, communications, motivation, training, participate management, and supervisory skills.
Content of class will cover topics in perceptual process, personality, learning, motivation, attitudes, stress, group dynamics, intergroup behavior, conflict power, politics, leadership and cross-cultural implications. Behavioral science concepts are applied through self-assessment, case studies, and experiential exercises.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of Pre-business core (b-275, CIT 140, Econ 111, Econ 112, Acctg 201, Acctg 202, and Math 221) or Business Fundamentals I and Business Fundamentals II or instructor approval.
