Description

Syllabus

The course objective is to look at the origin, content and teachings of the first half of the Book of Mormon (1 Nephi - Alma 16) and explore and emphasized the doctrines taught in the Book of Mormon.

 

Learning Model Architecture

Over successive one-week cycles, students will Prepare, Teach One Another and Ponder/Prove through diligent study, analysis, and application of the doctrines and principles.

 

Preparation

You will be required to read the entire first-half of the Book of Mormon and completed certain assignments.

 

Teach One Another

- Practicum Assignments: Choose one gospel doctrine or principle that you would like to improve on or implement in your life.

- Through Lines Discussion Board: Personalize, guide, and focus your learning, strengthen your testimony, and assist others in the conversion process.

 

Ponder and Prove

Keep a journal to help you recognize, identify, and implement various scripture study skills.

- Self Assessment: You will be concentrated in searching, analyzing, proving, recording, teaching one another and private journals.

- Scripture Mastery: The brethren encourage us to know the doctrines and principles of these scriptures.
