|Q| What is the University Press's standard turnaround time?

|A| Turnaround time-also known as production turnaround time-varies by product, ranging from one to six business days. You should check the turnaround option for the specific product that interests you. In addition, you should check to ensure that your turnaround time will not be impacted by an upcoming holiday. Turnaround time for your print job begins once your order has been placed and your print-ready files have been uploaded, attached and approved. Your proof is included in this turnaround time which begins calculating when we receive approval for your proof. You will receive a proof with most of your jobs with the exception of large format posters. If your job is approved by 5 p.m. Mountain Time, turnaround time begins that business day. For example, a job for three-day turnaround that you approved by 1 p.m. Tuesday will be mailed out to you by end of business Friday. Please note that University Press offices are closed Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. As a result, these days are not considered when calculating turnaround time.In addition, turnaround time does not include mailing time.

|A| Turnaround time for your print job begins calculating once your order has been placed and your print-ready files have been uploaded, attached and approved. Your proof is included in the turnaround time which begins calculating when we receive approval for your proof.. Turnaround time does not begin upon placement of your order.

If your job or proof is approved by 5 p.m. MST, turnaround time begins that business day. For example, a job with three-day turnaround that you approved by 1 p.m. Tuesday will be mailed out to you by end of business Friday. Please note that the University Press offices are closed Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays. As a result, these days are not considered when calculating turnaround time.

|Q|  What can delay start of turnaround time?  

|A|  Turnaround time for your print job begins caculating once your order has been placed and your print-ready files have been uploaded, attached and approved. Your proof is included in your turnaround time once it has been approved by the customer.

As a result, turnaround time can not begin if:
1. Your files haven't been submitted to University Press.
2. Your files are not print-ready
3. Approval for your proof (if applicable) has not been received by the University Press.

  

We will make every effort to notify you in a timely manner to begin turnaround time for your job. For example, if we identify during preflighting stage that your files are not print-ready, we will notify you by the contact number you provided us or through your email account.

 

|Q| Does turnaround time including mailing time?

|A| No. Turnaround time refers to our production turnaround time, which does not include mailing  time. In addition, turnaround time for your print job begins calculating once your order has been placed and your print-ready files have been uploaded, attached and approved. Proofs are included in your turnaround time which begins calculating when we receive approval for your proof.

|Q| Does the University Press guarantee turnaround time?

|A|  No. The University Press does not guarantee turnaround time, which is also known as production turnaround time when all requirements have been met by client to begin turnaround time period. While the University Press strives to meet turnaround commitments for every job, production delays may occur. If there is a job that needs to be rushed, please indicate this in the note section when ordering or you can simply call or email us. 

 

|Q| Can I change turnaround time after my order has been placed?

|A| We make it our top priority to meet your turnaround expectations, and we will make every effort to work with you after your order has been placed to adjust your turnaround time. If you want to adjust your turnaround time, it is essential that you work with us to help us identify the key elements needed to make your print job a success.

In some cases, however, we may not be able to adjust turnaround time due to the complexity of managing a large number of printing jobs at our production facility.

|Q| How do I ensure a fast turnaround time?  

|A|   Turnaround time for your print job begins calculating once your order has been placed and your print-ready files have been uploaded, attached and approved. A proof is included in your turnaround time when we receive approval for your proof.

As a result, you can receive the fastest turnaround time if:

1. Your files have been submitted to the University Press.

2. Your files are print-ready
3. Your proof (if applicable) has been approved in a timely manner

We also encourage you to label any materials, emails, or other communications with your order number.

  

|Q| Do you ever ship jobs early?

|A|   We aim to ship orders on the due date since this approach helps us provide you with the lowest overall prices. As a result, we encourage you to specify a faster turnaround time if you need your job earlier.

 

|Q| When can I pick-up my order?

|A|   Orders will be ready for pick-up on the target due date and you will be notified when they are ready to be picked up. If the order is being mailed to your department then expect the order on the last mail run of the day which is between 3:30 and 4:30.

Please note that turnaround time for your print job begins calculating once your order has been placed and your print-ready files have been uploaded, attached and approved. Proofs will be provided with most orders, your turnaround begins when we receive approval for your proof. If your job or proof is approved by 5pm Mountain Time, turnaround time begins that business day.

For example, a job for three-day turnaround that you approved by 1pm Tuesday will be ready for pick-up at 4pm Mountain Time on Friday.

All orders can be picked up at the ASB building on campus between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mountain Time.
Please note that PsPrint offices are closed Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. As a result, these days are not considered when calculating turnaround time.
