Preparing to Register
1. Clear Restrictions: If you have been restricted from registering by the Student Honor Office, if you have any unpaid bills at the university, if you are on Academic Suspension, or if you have not purchased/waived student insurance, you will not be allowed to register. Check with the Student Honor Office (KIM 230, 208-496-9300) to have Honor Code restrictions removed. Check with Accounting (KIM 130, 208-496-1050) to have financial restrictions removed. Check with the Student Records and Registration Office (KIM 190, 208-496-1042) to have academic suspension lifted. Student insurance can be purchased or waived by logging into your my.byui.edu account.
2. Admissions Clearance: All admitted applicants will attend one of the three academic tracks: Winter/Spring, Spring/Fall, or Fall/Winter. Once admitted, students must accept BYUI's offer of admission at www.byui.edu/response. Students may not enroll in traditional classes during their off-track semester, but may be eligible for some continuing education classes. To be considered for admission, an application must be submitted to the Admissions Office, KIM 120, (208) 496-1300 by the application deadline.
3. Academic Advising Clearance: Some colleges or departments apply an advising restriction for continuing students each year. To have this restriction cleared, students must meet with their respective satellite advising center.
4. Ecclesiastical Endorsement: Continuing students must obtain an updated ecclesiastical endorsement annually. For information or assistance, contact the Student Honor Office, KIM 270, (208) 496-9300.
5. Plan your Schedule of Classes: Continuing students may meet with their faculty mentors or their respective Satellite Academic Discovery Center for assistance in planning a class schedule. New students may obtain assistance from 1) the Academic Discovery Center (CAC), KIM 250, (208) 496-1167; 2) from their respective academic discovery center if they have a declared major; or 3) from their faculty mentors.

7. Deadline for Payment of Tuition and Fees: Students may make tuition and fee payments at any time. However, full payment of tuition and fees is due in the Cashier's Office by the established Academic Deadlines. Thereafter, a late payment fee of 5% on the unpaid balance will be charged. Interest will then be charged at the rate of 1% per month on the unpaid balance until paid in full.
