Roles of the SRC Leadership

Student Body President:

The student body president is elected by the student body and presides over the SRC. The president also oversees the direction and goals of the council. The president communicates weekly with the SRC advisor, vice presidents, and other leaders to ensure that assignments are carried out. The president attends university councils and gives input to ensure that the student body is represented in policy changes. Click here for application to run for Student Body Officer.

Vice Presidents:

Two vice presidents are elected by the student body and act as advisors to the president. One vice president has stewardship for the Advancement and Academic Representatives. The other has stewardship for the University Resources and Student Services and Activities Representatives. The vice presidents attend and provide input at various university councils.

Representatives:

The student body officers select the representatives through an application and interview process. There are eight representatives, two assigned to each committee. The representatives work closely with the many different facets of the administration to represent the voice of the student body among the various university councils. Representatives work with students who comment on the Input Page to resolve concerns and help facilitate meaningful communication between the student body and the administration. Representatives gather input of the students through face-to-face contacting, information booths and various other methods. They work with as a team to implement the goals of the SRC. They meet with their assigned vice president to report and coordinate information and assignments for their committee.

SRC Student Secretary:

The secretary is hired by the advisor to assist with administrative needs of the SRC and other responsibilities related to the position.
