SIFE (Students In
Free Enterprise) is a nonprofit organization that gives students the tools to
learn the free enterprise system
in a real working
situation. SIFE challenges students on more than 1,300 college and university
campuses in more than 31 countries to take what they're learning in the
classroom and use their knowledge to better their communities. Through a
collaborative effort between business and education, SIFE Teams improve the
quality of life and the standard of living around the world by teaching the
principles of market economics; entrepreneurship, business ethics, and personal
financial success.

BYU-Idaho's SIFE
program is well established upon this campus and we have been exceptionally
successful in our endeavors. Each year, various SIFE teams from around the
world come together to share their success stories at competition. For the past
three years in a row we have been Regional Champions and for two of those years
we finished first runner-up in our league at National Competition. Our first
year as a SIFE team, we were named Rookie of the Year and managed to finish in
the top eight of the two-year division.
We meet every Thursday, at 6pm, in Smith 220. Non-business majors are more than welcome to participate and there is no fee. Come join in on the excitement and make a difference in the lives of others.
