Devotional

Devotional has been one of BYU-Idaho's longest-standing traditions . Thomas E. Ricks, president of the Bannock Stake stressed the importance of spiritual learning at the founding of the school on November 12, 1888 . President Ricks spoke and offered the dedicatory prayer. The new academy “was to give spirituality precedence over worldliness; the principles of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ were to be taught side by side with arithmetic, geography, reading and other mundane subjects.”


 

Devotional serves as the kick-off to Spirit Week. We invite you to gather for devotional and make this your weekly tradition on Tuesday's during your time here at BYU-Idaho.
