Listen to the song “Child of Light” by Mindy Gledhill and read the short story “You Are Special”(links provided below). Listen, ponder, and write a response about the song and story. A prompt for your response is provided.
Life is full of temptation; it is everywhere you look. One of the easiest ways to fall into temptation is by peer pressure. Is it easy to always turn away from it? No, because we are imperfect and vulnerable to it. There are two that are perfect, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Do you know how special you are to them? How much they love you and want to see you succeed and return back to them? It is important to realize that your future is much more important than your past. Write a response about your individual self worth, the potential you have, and how as a “Child of Light” you can lift those around you. (Keep in mind the example you can set for fellow students at BYU-Idaho by personally living the honor code and helping others live it also.)
