Return With Honor Course
The Return with Honor Course is a course designed to assist students in their qualification and preparedness to move forward on the path of discipleship at BYU-Idaho. It has six basic assignments to help returning students measure their willingness and ability to adhere to the standards of the university.
"The process of giving your heart to the Lord is the great key to understanding the purpose of the Honor Code. The Honor Code is a preparatory commitment to live the gospel and conduct your lives in a spirit of obedience." President Kim B. Clark
When a student has completed all of the assignments, a portfolio that includes the responses from the assignments, a letter of recommendation from their bishop, and a personal statement from the student should be submitted. This portfolio will be reviewed by a council which will make a recommendation regarding the removal of the disciplinary hold.
The portfolio must be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the admission deadline that the student wants to be considered for. The Student Honor office will then notify the student regarding the decision.
This portfolio is to be sent to the following address:
Student Honor Office
270 Kimball Building
Rexburg, ID 83460-1686
Or e-mailed to sho@byui.edu
If approval is not granted, additional actions may be required in order to help the returning students to be better prepared for the learning environment at BYU-Idaho.
For questions about the Return with Honor Course, please contact the Student Honor office at 208-496-9300 or e-mail us at sho@byui.edu
