Bishop, bishop (13.5)
Address members of the Presiding Bishopric and bishops of wards (past and present) as Bishop. (But address individuals released from the Presiding Bishopric and called to the Seventy or to the Quorum of the Twelve as Elder.) See Church titles and offices.
Brother, brother; Sister, sister (7.70, 13.2)
Capitalize the words brother and sister when they are used in the religious sense and occur before a proper name: My seminary teacher is Brother Johnson. We will help you, Sister Frandsen.
Lowercase when it appears in a direct address with the given name omitted: Thanks, brother, for your dedicated service.
Address stake patriarchs as Brother.
