LDS (7.20)
Avoid using the abbreviation LDS and the nickname Mormon as substitutes for the name of the Church. If the full name is not appropriate in a particular context, use the simple phrase the Church rather than the LDS Church or the Mormon Church. The phrase Latter-day Saint may be used in reference to members of the Church or as an adjective, but do not abbreviate it.
