Call Forward
Key: CFwdALL or Forward All
Procedure:
Forward all calls to another number:
- Press 'CFwdALL' or 'Forward All'
- Enter target phone number as if you were dialing the number (press 8 to get outside line)
Cancel:
- Press CFwdAll or Forward All
Forward all calls to VoiceMail:
- Press 'CFwdALL'
- Press the button that looks like an envelope, AKA your message button.
Cancel:
- Press 'CFwdALL' once.
Key:Confrn
Procedure:
NOTE: The conference call option currently only works with other VoIP phones.
Create a conference:
- From a current call, press 'Confrn' (You may need to press the 'more' softkey to see 'Confrn')
- Enter the next conference participant's phone number and wait for the call to connect
- Press 'Confrn' again to add that person to the conference call
- Repeat for additional participants.
Removing Conference Participants:
- Press 'ConfList' to see a list of all confrerence participants
- Use the arrow keys to highlight the desired participant
- Press the 'Remove' button
Alternate method to start a conference call:
- From a held call, press 'New Call' and dial phone #
- Once the call is connected, press the 'Join' button on the current call
- Scroll
Directories
Procedure:
Missed Calls:
- Press the directories button (it looks like an open book)
- Select the 'Missed Calls' directory
Received Calls:
- Press the directories button (it looks like an open book)
- Select the 'Received Calls' directory.
Placed Calls:
- Press the directories button (it looks like an open book)
- Select the 'Placed Calls' directory.
Personal Directory:
From Web:
- Add a new Personal Address Book (PAB) entry:
- After logging in, choose 'User Options' > 'Personal Address Book'
- Click 'Add New'
- Enter information
- Click 'Save'
- Edit a PAB entry:
- Search for a PAB entry
- Click a name or nickname
- Edit the entry as needed and click 'Save'
- Delete a PAB entry:
- Search for a PAB entry
- Select one or more entries
- Click 'Delete Selected'
From Phone:
- Press the directories button (it looks like an open book)
- Select 'Personal Directory'
- Enter your NetID
- The PIN is 963214 (unless you change it)
- Press 'Submit'
- Select 'Personal Address Book'
- Search by Last Name, First Name, or Nickname
- You can also add, modify, or delete entries from the phone (it is easier from the internet).
Personal Fast Dials:
- Accessed from the Personal Directory or online
- Enter/Access data in like you do for the PAB
Corporate Directory:
This function is not yet available.
Hold
Key: Hold
Procedure:
- Press 'Hold'
- Hang up
Reconnect
- Pick up phone (or not if you want to use speaker phone)
- Highlight appropriate call and press resume
Ringtones
Procedure:
Speed Dial/Abbreviated Dialing
Procedure:
- Go to arce.byui.edu/ccmuser and log in using your NetID and password
- In the top left corner use the drop down menu to select 'Device'
- On the menu across the top, select 'Speed Dials'
- If your phone is set up for speed dial you will see a box that says 'Speed Dial Settings' if not you will only have a box for 'Abbreviated Dial Settings' (don't worry if you only have the abbreviated dial settings, it functions the same as speed dial)
- Enter in the 'Number' (don't forget the 8 when dialing outside numbers) and 'Label' for any of the speed dial numbers you want (leave the ASCII Label blank since it will be automatically populated)
- Once you have entered in all the numbers that you want (you can go back and change them anytime) scroll to the bottom of the page and press 'Save'
- Wait a few minutes to allow your phone to update with the changes
Speed Dial Use:
- If your phone has the speed dial function, you will see the name of the person that is designated as your speed dial contact below your phone number on the phone's screen.
- For Abbreviated Dial use, on your phone press the abbreviated dial number that you want to call (1-99)
- Press 'AbbrDial' to call using your pre-set speed dials.
Transfer calls
Key: Transfer
Procedure:
- While call is active press 'Transfer'
- Dial target #
- Talk to the transfer recipient before transferring call
- Press 'Transfer' again to connect the calls
- Hang up
Voice mail
Key: Message Button
Procedure:
VoiceMail Set-up
- Press the button that looks like an envelope (your message button)
- The VoiceMail pin was sent to you in your MicroSoft outlook e-mail box.
- Follow instructions to enter a recorded greating, your name, and a new pin.
- Hang up when finished
VoiceMail Access
- Press your message button (the button that looks like an envelope)
- Follow voice instructions
PIN Reset:
Go to your e-mail box. Click on Tools then options, the voicemail tab and click reset PIN. Your new temporary pin will be sent to your e-mail in under a minute.
