The Thomas E. Ricks Gardens are named as a tribute to the founder of the school. The gardens were dedicated on
February 18, 2005 by Elder David A. Bednar, former President of BYU-Idaho. In addition to their aesthetic beauty enjoyed
by students and the public, the gardens are an extension of the
horticulture program.
