The Thomas E. Ricks Gardens

The gardens are surrounded by the Thomas E. Ricks building, the Ezra Taft Benson building, the John Taylor Chapel, the Spencer W. Kimball Administration building and the Gordon B. Hinckley building. The gardens are named for the founder of the school and provide a peaceful atmosphere for students to relax between classes. The gardens were dedicated on February 18, 2005 by Elder David A. Bednar, former President of BYU-Idaho. The gardens are an extension of the horticulture program.

The Galleries

Campus photographer Michael Lewis captures the beauty of the Ricks Gardens. Season to season the gardens change from a lush, green environment with running streams to picturesque winter landscapes. We hope you enjoy these galleries as they explore the beauty of the Ricks Gardens throughout the year.
