Accreditation

BYU-Idaho received candidate status for accreditation as a baccalaureate granting institution with the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges in 2001 and will be reviewed for full accreditation in 2004. In 1999 Ricks College was renewed as a fully accredited two year school.

Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board Authorization:

Brigham Young University – Idaho is authorized by the Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board and meets the requirements and minimum educational standards established for degree-granting institutions under the Degree Authorization Act. This authorization in valid until January 2, 2005 and authorizes Brigham Young University-Idaho to offer the student teaching portion of the following degree: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
