CATALOG DESCRIPTION: For students majoring in Natural Resource Management, Education, and Botany. An introduction to cell structure, plant anatomy, physiology, reproduction, heredity, evolution and ecology. Lab is required. (Winter, Summer, Fall)
DESCRIPTION: This is a basic botany class designed to give a substantial overview of plant chemistry, the cell, genetics, anatomy, physiology, ecology, evolution.
TOPICS: Chemistry, cell theory, genetics, genetic engineering, evolution, reproduction, anatomy, taxonomy and systematics.
OBJECTIVES: To provide students with an introduction to botany and current issues in science and agriculture.
