CATALOG DESCRIPTION: A beginning level course in floral design including: instruction in care and handling of flowers, historical and current application of principles and elements of design, identification and use of floral equipment and materials, and bouquet and corsage preparation.
DESCRIPTION: This course introduces students to the floral industry. It is designed and intended to be a beginning level course introducing basic sills and concepts.
TOPICS: Basic bouquet construction, corsage construction post harvest care and handling; connecting the grower and the consumer.
OBJECTIVES: To provide introductory discussion and understanding of the floral industry.
