CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Identification and control of insects, weeds and diseases of ornamental plants. The use, limitation and methods of applying pesticides including laws concerning their use.
DESCRIPTION: Weed, Insect and Disease Control couched in Integrated Pest Management Techniques.
TOPICS: Insect, weed, disease control. Vertebrate pests, predators and parasites. Pesticide formulatins, labels and calibration. Environmental issues, record keepting, transportation and storage.
OBJECTIVES: At the completion of this course students will be able to employ integrated pest management techniques into an effective pest control program. Students may qualify to receive a private applicators license.
