|CATALOG DESCRIPTION:||Rigorous treatment of analysis in the context of metric spaces. Applications involving such tools as approximation, Fourier analysis and multivariate optimization. (Winter odd years)|
|TOPICS:||Rigorous treatment of series and the calculus of several variables. Partial derivatives, multiple integration, vector analysis, basic metric properties of Euclidean Space and the Implicit and Inverse Function Theorems.|
|OBJECTIVES:||Students will build on the foundation established in Math 461.|
|REQUIREMENTS:||Attendance is required.
Homework will be required; tests will be administered.
|PREREQUISITES:||Math 341 and Math 461|
