|CATALOG DESCRIPTION:||The content of this class will be determined by the department and the instructor, based on student need and interest. Some possible subjects are: Number Theory, Topology, Complex Variables and Actuarial Science. (Winter even years)|
|OBJECTIVES:||Will introduce the student to advanced mathematical principles and/or applications not found elsewhere in the BYU-Idaho curriculum. Students in this course will deepen their mathematical maturity and will expand both their ability to solve problems in mathematics and its applications and their ability to communicate mathematically.|
|REQUIREMENTS:||All students must have their own textual materials.
Each faculty member decides what forms of assessment to require and what weight to give each of them.
|PREREQUISITES:||Consent of Instructor required.|
