TOPICS:
OBJECTIVES: To master the melodic, rhythmic and harmonic elements of baroque four-part composition to the point of writing an original hymn. To be able to analyze the work of other composers inlcuding the basic form of the piece. To understand the workings of harmony through secondary dominants and modulation. To be ready to enter Theory 2 - Classical and Romantic Theory.
REQUIREMENTS:
PREREQUISITES: Pass basic theory pretest.
