GENERAL EDUCATION: This course does not fulfill a General Education requirement.

CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Development of basic listening, singing, and writing skills related to music theory. Activities include singing (using movable-do/ tonic-do solfege), listening, and music dictation (including rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic).
DESCRIPTION: This course is the second of a three-semester sequence developing aural skills.
TOPICS: Development of dictation and notation skills.
OBJECTIVES: 1) Further instruction of basic listening and writing skills related to music theory. Activities include singing (using movable-do/tonic-do solfege),listening,andmusic dictation (including
rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic).
2) Further instruction of basic singing skills related to music theory. Activities include singing (using movable-do/tonic-do solfege).
REQUIREMENTS: LAB REQUIREMENT - You are required to fulfill one (1) lab time per week each week, for a cumulative total of thirteen (13) labs by the beginning of final exam week.
COMPUTER DRILL - You are required to complete one computer lab each week.
PREREQUISITES: C- or higher in Music 194 and concurrent enrollment in Music 295
