CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Third semester of a three semester sequence in the development of aural skills.
DESCRIPTION: Third semester of a three semester sequence in the development of aural skills.
TOPICS:
OBJECTIVES: 1) Further instruction of basic listening and writing skills related to music theory. Activities include singing (using movable-do/ tonic-do solfege), listening, and music dictation (including rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic).
2) Further instruction of basic singing skills related to music theory. Activities include singing (using movable-do/tonic-do solfege).
REQUIREMENTS: LAB/COMPUTER REQUIREMENT: You are required to fulfill one lab (for each component) per week each week, for a cumulative total of thirteen (13) labs by the beginning of final exam week.
PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of Music 293 and M295 or course equivalents.
