| CATALOG DESCRIPTION: | A full symphony orchestra of string, woodwind, brass, and percussion personnel. Four concerts are given throughout the academic year of various different types such as: full orchestral, Halloween/Pops, choral/orchestral, student concerto soloists, guest professional soloists, etc. Also a biennial concert tour of a newly-commissioned sacred LDS choral/orchestral work. | ||

| OBJECTIVES: | This course is designed to provide highly skilled student musicians with a full symphony orchestral experience and exposure to the highest caliber of orchestral music literature. Emphasis is placed on modeling for future teachers how to motivate and lead student musicians to an exceptional performance level. | ||
| REQUIREMENTS: | Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is a basic requirement. One hour outside class stand-partner or sectional rehearsal is also required. Adequate outside class personal practice as required to play individual parts. | ||
