TOPICS: Coulombs Law & charge,Electric Field & Potentials,Resistors & Resistivity, DC Circuits, Series & Parallel,Home Wiring,Magnetism,Faraday's Law,Induction,Building a simple radio, Index of refraction,Lenses Telescopes,angular magnification,Atomic Spectra,Radioactivity
OBJECTIVES: At the end of this class the students will be able to plot graphs, do computer operations, and have hands on experience in a physics lab. How abstract ideas have useful application in reality. Develop analysis, problem solving, and technical communication skills.
REQUIREMENTS: No text is required. The text for 106 should be brought to each lab. A spiral notebook is needed.
PREREQUISITES: Concurrent registration in PH 106
OTHER: Due to the high demand for this laboratory, attendance at the first class period is required to secure your place unless prior arrangements are made with the instructor.
