CATALOG DESCRIPTION: To explore the concepts, competencies, ideas, ideals and principles of endurance training and strength training.
DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to assist the instructor to explore the concepts, ideas, and principles of teaching training fundamentals. The focus of this course will be to give the student the tools needed to write a prescription of activity to meet the needs of those being trained.

OBJECTIVES: The student will be able to write a prescription for:
1. Endurance Training

2. Strength Training
a. Concept of periodization
b. Strength and power training

3. Flexibility
4. Nutrition and weight control
5. Warm-up
6. Muscle soreness
REQUIREMENTS: 1. Students will be required to attend and participate in each class
2. Take exams and quizes
3. Write an assigned term paper approved by instructor
4. Macro, meso, and micro prescription of activity cycles
5. Basic skills' test on strength training
