|DESCRIPTION:||This class is designed to introduce and instruct students in basic wallyball skills.
|OBJECTIVES:||a. To help promote neuromuscular and physical fitness
b. Knowledge of the rules, history, etiquette, courtesy, strategies, and terminology of wallyball.
c. Develop social interaction and teamwork skills.
d. Provide for emotional development through playing, learning to work through stress, controlling tempers, and staying under control in competition as students develop support groups with this common participation interest.
e. Develop spiritual strengths as students learn to respect and value their bodies and one another.
f. Learn to follow instructions, understand, and exhibit knowledge and skill of fundamentals, rules, and strategies of the game of wallyball.
g. Develop skills to teach rules, fundamentals and strategies of wallyball.
h. Ability to organize a tournament.
|REQUIREMENTS:||1. Exhibit knowledge and skill of fundamentals, rules, and strategies of wallyball
2. Attend class and participate
3. BYU-I clothing required
|OTHER:||1. Two unexcused absence allowed.
2. Four or more absences will result in automatic failure.
3. Pass/Fail grade is available with less than four absences.
4. May be repeated one time for credit.
