Beginning Physics Lab for Physics, Engineering, and Physical Science Teaching Majors. Introduces principles of experimentation in physics, and lab equipment and procedures.

| DESCRIPTION: |
This course is intended to give experience in conducting, analyzing and reporting experiments dealing with mechanics. |
| TOPICS: |
Measurement and uncertainty, error propagation, curve fitting, calibration of instruments, measurement of one-and two-dimensional motion and forces. |
| OBJECTIVES: |
Become acquainted with and limitations of equipment. Take, analyze and interpret data. Estimate uncertainty in data. Use computers in data acquisition and analysis. Communicate technical information in written and oral form. |
