|DESCRIPTION:||Methods and philosophy of teaching physics principles in a high school setting. Includes a discussion of theories of learning, Physics Education research, curriculum design and evaluation, professional development and lab safety. Students will be required to create physics demonstrations and show them in class.

|OBJECTIVES:||After completing the course, the student will be able to design an effective physics curriculum, design and show physics demonstration devices to teach specific physics principles, describe theories of learning, discuss effective techniques of physics teaching according to the research. The student will be prepared for his/her student teaching experience.
