OBJECTIVES: Seek to introduce students to the physical principles underlying the production, and perception of sound music and speech, and the vocabulary needed to discuss them.
REQUIREMENTS: Students will be evaluated with exams, and some homework assignments. Concurrent registration in Ph 167L. Some faculty may require regular preparation assignments, quizzes, or synthesis summaries. Because the course requires the lab to accompany it, exam questions in the course may address concepts that are revisited in the lab.
