CATALOG DESCRIPTION: An applied course covering the nature and managment of stress, with focus on understanding and altering or enhancing student's environment and behaviors as they pertain to stress.
DESCRIPTION: An experience in understanding the stress phenomenon, and how we can learn to manage, rather than to magnify or enhance it.
TOPICS:
OBJECTIVES: Students will learn ways of modifying their environment and behaviors related to stress problems through relaxation techniques, assertiveness training, cognitive reappraisals, and biofeedback.
REQUIREMENTS: Participation in group discussions and exercises, a 5 page self-description/exploration paper.
