|DESCRIPTION:||A fundamental course designed to teach vocal production skills for the stage. This course is designed for actors, teachers, speakers, and others who engage in oral presentations.|
|TOPICS:||Relaxation, articulation, pronunciation, volume, pitch, rate, emphasis, voice quality, study and integration of the International Phonetic Alphabet and Standard American English.|
|OBJECTIVES:||To train the vocal instrument in preparation for work in acting, public speaking, teaching, etc.
|REQUIREMENTS:||Select and adapt written materials for oral presentation in class.
Memorize and utilize the International Phonetic Alphabet.
Other requirements as assigned by instructor.
|OTHER:||TA 121 is required for students with an emphasis in Theatre or Technical Theatre.
Recommended for students in Elementary or Secondary Education, English and Broadcasting.
