| DESCRIPTION: | A study of Spanish-language poems, short stories, plays, novels, and culture. Practice of principles leading to understanding and appreciation of literary genres. | ||
| TOPICS: | Principles for analyzing literature, study of symbols, culture, word histories, historical background, etc. | ||
| OBJECTIVES: | To give students tools and abilities to analyze and enjoy literature on their own. Students completing this course should be able to speak at intermediate mid-level and appreciate varied literary forms. | ||
| REQUIREMENTS: | Attendance, oral participation in groups, papers, extensive readings, exams (including short essay). | ||
| PREREQUISITES: | Spanish 201 with a grade of "C" or higher or consent of instructor. Not for Spanish-speaking returned missionaries or native speakers. Spanish-speaking RM's should enroll in 302. Native speakers should enroll in Spanish 321. | ||
